New Race Announcement! The Ironman 70.3 Colombo
IRONMAN Asia is proud to announce IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo as a new addition to the Asia race map.
The inaugural edition will take place on February 25, 2018.
The course will take athletes from the Indian Ocean coastline to the city centre of the capital city of Sri Lanka filled with rich heritage architecture. Galle Face Green, the Old Parliament Building and the Port of Colombo are just some key landmarks that will be covered!
In terms of race conditions, we have identified February as the best time of the year to host the race and expect perfect weather conditions - around 27 °C with very low chances of rainfall.
This is an age group only race offering 30 qualifying slots to the 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa.
On top of the individual category, IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo will offer a team relay option, a great opportunity for first timers to join an IRONMAN race.
