Regent Aguila IRONMAN 70.3 Opening Activites

The activities lined up today, Thursday, started on time at 2pm and happening altogether and simultaneously in different areas of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa until 5:30 pm. At the beach area, the TYR registration got busy with athletes coming in for the swim out. All participants are given free swim caps. Joel Canama, TYR Swim Out Event Coordinator shared that though the swim out isn’t the entire swim race course, but it is for the athletes to practice at the same time swim a total of 400 meters and become a finisher. The 1st 150 to finish the swim out course gets the finisher medal and the Finisher T-shirt. The goal of the swim out is for the athletes to get familiar with the water race course. It also helps foreigner athletes to get a feel of Cebu water to get ready for Sunday’s big event, the Regent Aguila Ironman 70.3 Philippines. The swim out is also additional brand mileage for TYR which is a USA manufacturer of recreational and competitive swimwear, swim caps, goggles, triathlon gear and more.

At the Marquee, Shangri-La, the IRONMAN 70.3 Athlete Check-In and Regent Aguila IRONMAN 70.3 Philippines Expo Open is found. At the Mactan Ballroom Foyer, you can find the IRONKIDS Athlete Registration Open and Regent Kitchen Open. The Herbalife Iron Girl Registration is located at the Mactan Ballroom 4. The Sponsors Expo Open is at the Marquee Garden/ Driveway with the

Bike Service Open at the Lanai and also inside the Marquee. Finally the Media Center Open is found at the Mactan Ballroom 1, Shangri-La Mactan.
